Be set apart from this world

A lot of people have misunderstood the word of GOD by following people rather than the word of GOD. Some of you have been raised in Christian households where they actually walked accordingly and then you have the ones that really didn't walk the walk of GOD'S word, but rather played "church" in front of their church buddies, but were totally different outside of the church walls. This is what has confused a lot of new believers in the faith into thinking you can live any kind of way and GOD will somehow tap you on your wrist and then look the other way. The first thing we never want to do is follow CHRIST through the lens of mankind, because you will be greatly disappointed. We are imperfect beings and we were born into sin so therefore, you can't expect the flesh to walk the straight and narrow all the time. It's not that you can't be inspired by the way one lives for CHRIST, but you can't expect the flesh not not to fail. CHRIST is the only one who has never failed and never will. In the beginning the word was with GOD and the word was GOD (John1:1) Therefore, HIS very word HE will never go against. There is no sin in HIM. We must follow CHRIST and be set apart from this world. This world has lead many to believe that you just have to be a good person and somehow, that is good enough for GOD. unfortunately, if you believe that, you are missing it. GOD said to be Holy for HE is Holy. (1 Peter 1:16) meaning be like HIM. of course we cannot be GOD! We can only strive to be like HIM! Love, forgive, make peace, be humble, be truthful, be real! Be like CHRIST. These are the fruits of the spirit. Your fruit determines the type of tree you are. Have you ever seen a tree that bears apples, onions, bell peppers and potatoes? The first thing you would say to yourself is, What kind of tree is that?? You would rather be confused! The same with one who calls himself a follower of CHRIST. Now again, it's not to say Christians don't fall. I will never say that! What I am saying is true followers of CHRIST don't live an intentional pattern of a sinful lifestyle. Do you battle sin? of course. We are not exempt from falling. We just have to make up our minds that if we really love CHRIST the way we say we do, we have to be real with HIM. Ask HIM for help! let HIM know you can't overcome the sinful cycles without HIS assistance and you want to draw closer to HIM. When you really accept HIM as your LORD and SAVIOUR, you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit which is the beautiful spirit of CHRIST that convicts your heart when you do wrong and encourages you to do good. "Don't say that! Don't do that! Don't drink that! Don't wear that! trust and believe HIM, you will know when HE is speaking to you! Pray and ask GOD to speak to your heart. Ask HIM to help your spirit to be recalibrated so you can be more sensitive to when HE speaks to you. Again, be set apart from this world. Don't follow what everyone else is doing. Don't worry about whether or not your pastor or your parents see you doing something sinful. Worry and concern yourself with the fact that GOD is the one watching your every move and nothing is hidden from HIM. Be blessed!
